I prefer the tiny flowers but most flowers will work as long as they are somewhat flat. Sometimes you have to look closely and dig in the flower bins to find the small ones. There are anywhere from 3-10 flowers on a bush usually costing between $2.99 and $5.99..watch for 50% off sales. If you know someone else that has a little girl and wants to make headbands you can always swap flowers..or make extra headbands for gifts. I've seen this headband on etsy costing anywhere from $4-$8.. The elastic cost $2.50 for several yards and the flowers were $2.99 and there were 8 of them on one spray!
This is another headband i made out of felt! So easy! Just cut 3 circles..sew a tiny pearl to the center of the smallest one and glue them all together. I think i found the little pearls in the jewelry making isle for a couple bucks for 50!
Some bling also adds a nice touch too :) I found a bag of small rhinestones close to the scrapbooking isle.
A few of my headbands...just to give you some ideas
